New conductor joins TSO

Adam Flatt, the last of four candidates vying to conduct the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, was the favorite of audiences and musicians during the TSO’s 2010-11 search season. Ties lure musician to holiday concert

Old school ties are bringing renowned pianist Simon Mulligan to Tuscaloosa for Monday’s “Holiday Cheers” concert. Alistair Harding-Smith, president of the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra board, attended the 500-year-old, yet progressive, St. Paul’s School in London with Mulligan.
